As A League of Their Own is one of my favorite movies, it made sense to listen to an audiobook of Geena Davis' memoir. This was great, and I love her even more now, as an actor AND as a human. The stories about her dad were adorable. Her mother was sweet and wholesome. I enjoed every single minute of this audio version. It was great to hear about her journey into acting from modeling (her Mannequin story is hilarious). She really advocates for women in film and TV. Her view on life and to the world is insightful and a breath of fresh air. I really, REALLY enjoyed this one.
Thank you Ms. Davis! Thank you for writing this book.

This is definitely more aimed at fans of Geena Davis (clearly - it's her memoir) but, as a fan, I really enjoyed it. I just wish she had gone a little deeper into certain topics, but hey, I still loved what info I got.

Even as someone who has never seen a Geena Davis movie or show, I really enjoyed this book from start to finish and found myself laughing out loud more than once. Geena‘s personality comes across so authentically that she is brought right off the page to sit in the room beside you. it’s so hard to give ratings when one book is so different to the next, but I’m going to try my best. If there was one aspect, I didn’t like it’s that the story isn’t told very chronologically and we jump back in forth in time sometimes.
