I have to admit, I had never seen Thelma and Louise before listening to this audiobook (narrated by Geena herself). I had heard this was a great listen and went for it. Now I’m obsessed! I saw T&L and have The Long Kiss Goodnight on my to-watch list. It doesn’t give an insane amount of juicy details, sure - but this is a woman who has worked for years to affirm her boundaries and I’m going to respect them! The book made me laugh a lot, and it’s like listening to your cool aunt tell you about her time in Hollywood. Fun!

Es como una historia de cenicienta en la vida real, totalmente inesperada su vida en hollywood por como cuenta la historia de su familia, y a la vez tampoco esperaban menos de ella y ella tenía tan claro que iba a llegar a hacer lo que quería. Y por supuesto tiene toda mi admiración por todo el trabajo que ha hecho para conseguir igualdad de representación de género en la pantalla. Very interesting to hear about Geena Davis' childhood and how she got her start in the business. She is very intelligent and does anything she puts her mind to. I had no idea she was a master archer and even tried for the Olympics. I like she even said nice things about her worst movies but acknowledged that they weren't good movies. I knew that she dated Jeff Goldblum during the Fly but I had no idea they were married. Her ideas for sequels to her movies are all good too! I wish we could get her sequel for the Fly. It sounds genuinely good!
