I wasn't the hugest fan of this book, but I still did enjoy it! I will be honest with you though, I had to listen to the audio book because I had the library book for over a month and had read 4 chapters... But I powered through the audio book in 2 days, so that's a win!

One of the main reasons I didn't like this book a lot is because of the slang. The original series started in 2005 and if my math is correct that would make this book be set somewhere around 2010-2011, not 2025. There were so many modern references that just caught me so off guard, and pulled me out of the book. I physically recoiled when I read 'side eye' and 'joined the chat'... Now I'm not saying modern references are a bad thing, but when it's almost every chapter and more modern then the setting of the book, it makes me a lil mad.

Another thing that I think added to my dislike, (and this is really niche) is that the book spans over the time of like...4 or 5 days. Now that's not necessarily a BAD thing, but it makes everything feel so drawn out to me and I personally am just not a fan of that.

The romance however was EATINGGG😝😝 ong I love these two losers💞

Also I really liked the humor but I can see how some fans may not as it is obviously set for a younger audience.

I really liked hearing about Hecuba and Gale's stories, and hearing Percy bond with them, it was really sweet!

I kinda couldn’t stand this most of the time, but I ended up liking the way it ends. The premise of these “senior year” books is just so stupid. I’m kinda over it.
