I loved the animals and the chaotic adventures the og trio get into while pet-sitting them. I also enjoyed their back stories to the animals and who this book li led into the second book of the series. However, i think Annabeth seemed a bit more dull than in previous books and Percy a bit more judgey towards Grover, which I found a bit odd.

It's just such a blast to have the gang back! I'm really glad Rick seems to be using this trilogy to focus on the relationships between the three of them, it works so well

Percy is continuing his quest to earn college recommendation letters. This time Hecate has requested Percy’s help pet sitting. However, they aren’t your average cat and dog. He must pet sit her polecat and giant mastiff the week leading up to Halloween. As always, things don’t go as planned so Percy and the gang must work against the clock to fix everything before Hecate’s returns.
