This was serious about the enemies and it was as intense as it could be for high schoolers. And speaking of that, I detest that they are on high school. The sex scenes are so graphic and good but having them makes me feel very uncomfortable as an adult bc these are minors. I dislike that it too 168 pages to tell us they actually talk like friends. I usually really hate big time skip epilogues and yet I enjoyed this one but was completely checked out from chapter 25 to 28 bc they were so boring and rushed. I feel like their dynamic was so rushed. It was way too quick a flip from enemies to lovers and they suddenly had no personality traits other than liking each other after they got together. I was excited to start this bc I liked another Steele book and I'm a sucker for sports rivalry romances but this just didn't work for me very much.

There wasn’t a whole lot of plot here. It was mostly just fist fights, angry banter, and hot hate sex (which quickly morphs into loving sex and pillow talk). But I enjoyed it. It was fun and a quick 3-hour read.
