I'm so disappointed in this book. it was so well researched and so interesting but only one woman and one person of color was featured. the introduction had an important preface acknowledging that the two authors were both white gay men, and white gay men have historically ignored the intersections of queer identity, but then they proceeded to write a book that was OVERWHELMINGLY about white gay men... which I guess I get from a villain perspective, but also it just feels lazy that they not research villainy done by people from other parts of the globe. or at least label the book as being about the us and uk, but even then diversify the subjects.

I'm just frustrated because I loved what was in the book but the omissions were so glaring

An arduous read, filled with lots of learning moments, that could have used another round or three of editing to make the information more easily digestible.

Easy 5 star, I adored this book!
