Really interesting, in depth read into some queer characters from history. I would’ve liked to see more diverse representation of women, and non-white characters but overall a really worthwhile read.

A bit slow to get into but once you read more, it's engaging. Feels like a coffee table kinda read. more on the side of pop culture writing rather than scholarly writing.
It's a library book, and I have to return it. But it's not the book that I think I'm going to wait for. It's fine.. nothing inherently wrong with it. The concept is interesting and the people chosen is a good mix as well... but I think this just isn't the book for me. There are times when the authors get a little too bogged down with the environment, which I understand helps give context to the people and their lives, but it was just a bit much for me.
I can see why people enjoy this, but I'm also not a very broad non-fiction reader.
