Did not see that twist at the end coming! A little far-fetched and it came seemingly out of nowhere, but I was invested in the story and characters so I finished anyway.

I was excited for this book, as the concept intrigued me. It didn't hit for me. The characters were flat and one-note, and the repetitive nature of Lacey needing to mention protecting Madison every second was annoying. Also, the fact that the scary killings were done by the Island? No....Not my thing, unfortunately.
