Questa è una di quelle storie che non dimentichi. È fantascienza, post apocalittico ma non di quelli vuoti fatti solo per creare scenari impossibili, è una riflessione enorme sulla vita, sul significato di persona, sull’amore e anche sulla genitorialita.
Probabilmente più bello della trilogia dell’area X, che rimanere per me una delle storie di fantascienza più belle mai scritte, e batterlo è davvero difficile

Though it may sometimes be a bit too abstract for it’s own good, Borne is another absolute sci-fi stand out from VanderMeer.

The amount of imagination and creativity on display in the world of Borne is remarkable. Really, it put my own brain through the wringer trying to picture/capture it all, which I’d come to expect after reading the fantastic Southern Reach trilogy, but still, wow

Borne is a lot of things: an examination of motherhood, personhood, and all the ways we break ourselves, each other and the world around us.

There’s so much to say, but I’m lazy and know I’ll just start to ramble. So I’ll just leave it at that.

I relate to Borne so much
