all of the characters were unlikeable and the drama was idiotic at best but this would make a fantastic shitty netflix show and i would binge it in a single day. 2/5
I LOVE THIS BOOK. I was constantly engaged and I very much enjoyed the multiple POVs. I stayed up too late too many times simply because I couldn’t put this book down. Lots of turns, I had multiple gasp moments. I am very invested in all the relationships and everything about this book. I can’t wait to continue this series.

I really enjoyed the book. A nice light read with just the right amount of drama…think Beverly Hills 90210. As with 90210, I kept thinking that maybe if the author had made the characters older the story might be more “relatable”, a lot to true love drama for 18 year olds 😁 but I loved it anyway ❤️
What if American was a monarchy? Descendants of George Washington rule the country and the various territories are lead by dukes and other important people. The premise is so interesting! Unfortunately, it’s YA. While this book could have been about America’s monarchy, it was actually about being a teenager in love with someone that is not considered appropriate. The book is told from the two sisters’ perspectives, as well as from that of Nina and Daphne, the two girls vying for Prince Jefferson’s attention. I felt like the sisters could have resolved their forbidden love problems if they had just talked to each other, but nothing was resolved in this book because there will be a sequel! All that being said, I still enjoyed reading this book well enough to give it 4 stars!
