⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Dark, Twisty, and Thoroughly Enjoyable
A Thorn for Every Heart by Kate King is a dark fantasy romance that pulled me in and kept me hooked from beginning to end. The world is richly imagined, the stakes are high, and the tension—both romantic and otherwise—never lets up.
The main character is fierce and compelling, and I loved watching her navigate a world filled with danger, secrets, and betrayal. The romance is intense, with just the right amount of slow burn and emotional push and pull to keep things interesting. There’s a great blend of action, intrigue, and character dynamics that makes this book hard to put down.
While it’s not the best book I’ve ever read, it was definitely a strong and memorable story that I thoroughly enjoyed. I’ll absolutely be continuing with the series and keeping an eye on what Kate King writes next.

Older FMC for a nice change of pace. Retelling of fairytales with a twist, in that the FMC is the granddaughter of the fairytale protagonist. There are so many modern references and it threw me off at first, but is kind of fun. Lots of typos and errors that could get distracting, but I tried to overlook them. Very much a vibes book.
