What a terrific way to bring this story to a close. Aru and her Pandava siblings must decide what to do when the gods and demons who want the nectar of immortality. Add in the discomfort Aru feels around Aiden because of their burgeoning feelings for one another, and schemes, plots and betrayals, incisive commentary on myths, and loads of humour, in a fast-moving plot and I was happy. I especially liked the way the ending made reference to the very beginning of Aru’s many adventures, giving me the warm, satisfying finish I wanted with this fun series.

4.5 stars.

This was a very uplifting kind of read. A mostly happy end to the story. And while I still think there were some things that were a little too cliche, overall I enjoyed the story.

This was a worthy conclusion to a massive middle school series with a satisfying ending that doesn't leave you hanging (finally!). And yet, maybe the author will take a page out of Riordan's book and come up with a future spin-off series in this world. If she does, I would definitely be interested in reading more. Especially if it involves Kara, Nikita, and Sheela.

Aru Shah is not perfect--she gets jealous of her friends, she has a tendency to put her foot in her mouth, and she will often do things that are not strictly allowed if she thinks it is the right thing to do, in short, she makes mistakes. Which makes her highly relatable. In fact, each of her friends is just as relatable in their own way and I was able to see something in each of the main characters that I could identify with. Just like in previous books, this one is action-packed and there is much despair because, after the ending in the last book, the odds are definitely stacked against them. But I love how when one of them is feeling low, someone else is able to say something to help encourage them. This is a team that is definitely stronger together, and I love how each of them has gifts that make them an essential member of the team, and even without their "powers", there is something about them that makes them important. I loved this series and can definitely see myself revisiting it in the future!

A wonderful conclusion to the Pandava sisters' adventure! As always, they approach their latest mission with humor, bravery, and a willingness to take on a challenge in even the unlikeliest of ways. The book calls back to several things that have taken place in previous parts of the story, and it's nice to get updates on different characters and to see how it all comes together. The ending is particularly apropos and delightful!

A solid ending to a fantastic saga! I really think this finale did the story and characters justice. The audiobooks were so fun to listen to :) I really appreciate the pop culture references - this one had a bunch of LOTR ones and I feel like those are just timeless! Bring the tissues, folks!
