Damn. Where. Do. I. Even. Start? Hmmm…..

I’ll start by saying this book was crazy! Like actually crazy, with all the shit that went down. I’m still shook.

Anyways, this one takes place right after Parrish gets kidnapped by Dakota’s dad, and of course her Maxx and Chasm are going crazy trying to find him. I will say that I did skim certain parts because it did get a little repetitive. I still really enjoyed this one though.

Now, what I find weird is this book is considered new adult but the characters ages don’t fit in that category. The content is definitely new adult but I just find it odd to write about minors having sex, when you could have easily made them 18 instead. That would have made more sense to me, but hey I’m just the reader.

This series was incredible. I mean soo good that I will remember it when December 17th rolls around. I have already pre-ordered it!! This is one of the best I have read this year and the 2nd book better so I’m sure the third will be beyond my expectations.

You've been warned!

Justin (the serial killer) has Maxine, but safe, for now... Maxim disappeared after dinner with his Dads, Parrish, Chasm and Kota are at the prom with Justin and Tess chaperoning, Tess suspects Kota and Parrish are together and confronts them about it but before they can answer her they find out Maxim is missing AND Tess gets a call that their home is on fire they are leaving and the book ends. Also of note
Lumen told them she was supposed to lure Kota somewhere alone. It hasn't happened yet. Veronica and co had cornered Kota after exams and cut her clothes off her and beat her up, recorded it, Justin said he'd get it off the web for her.
Kimber suspects things are going on, doesn't like Kota so might organize the school against her, just all kinds of sketch
Delphine said she was quitting but she's still there AND they all don't trust her
Justin is dating Parrish's bio-mom
Also got that cryptic note that she thinks was from Saffron saying Miss you and love you fierce stay strong I'm coming.

I love that Dakota, maxx and chasm are willing to do anything to get Parrish back no matter what. I can’t wait to see what they all have in store for Justin because let’s face it he absolutely deserves the worst possible thing to happen to him and I cannot wait to see it unfold!!!
There is so much that they have to do to unveil the clues that Justin has laid out for Dakota to be able to find Parrish. while Justin is also making look like his app is helping find him

This is book 2 in the Lost Daughter of a Serial Killer and I still think this is my favorite plot line that CM has written so far. This book takes so many turns, and the characters are written with such passion that you feel like you are one of them living the Horror of Parrish being missing.

I love how twisted her dad is as he is portrayed as a true villain with 0 morals and boundaries, even when it comes to his own daughter. I am instantly diving into book 3 ready to see Kota take down Justin Prior!
