It’s hard to know for sure whether I tore through this book so quickly because I throughly enjoyed it or because it was an excuse to get out of studying for finals, but either way this was quickest I’ve gone through a book in awhile, which was refreshing!
I’ve actually passed over this book several times before in stores after reading the inside cover, thinking it was going to be “just another book with [X storyline],” and I don’t want to give away any of the plot twists/ turns, but I will just leave it by saying that this was a good example of why you should NEVER judge a book by its trope because I was WRONG and it really was so good (despite the potentially-misleadingly-low score I gave it)!!
While most of the plot twists/ turns were good and unexpected, I finished with just a few more unanswered questions than I normally like to leave a book with, but it didn’t altogether affect my rating too much.

I enjoyed this quite a bit! It was pretty long and felt dragged out a bit, but I didn’t mind it. Some nice little plot twists kept me wanting to read and chapters were from various characters which I love. Not quite 4 stars worthy, but not as bad as 3 stars either so going for the 4
As someone who has gone through infertility, this was a very triggering book. It also made me feel seen and less lonely. The story itself was wild and nothing I'd come across before. Worth the read

This was such an intriguing and exciting thriller, I couldn’t put the book down. This would’ve been 4 stars for me but the ending felt rushed and not concluded.

I have a thriller rec gal… that sends me a text of a must listen and I do it. I went into this one completely blind and suggest you do the same! A great story and the authors note was touching and personal. I will be recommending this one as well as checking out JT’s other titles!
