challenging dark tense fast-paced

Did you know that you can put the the audio speed on Spotify all the way to 3.5x? That was STILL not fast enough to get me through this bore of a book. The chapters are so short which is nice but that comes at the cost of building any meaningful tension. The MC was completely unlikable and also a hypocrite.
SpoilerShe slept with a student just like men she killed.
How she managed to get away with a single murder is beyond me. All of these men are dying and no one questions it? Whatever

This book wants to have such a strong feminist message that it would be less subtle if it slapped you in the face but it doesn't add anything to the conversation. All of the male characters are bad except the gay ones.
SpoilerSleeping with students is ok if you're female.

The plot twist is there is not plot twist! I love a good revenge story but this just isn't it. If you want a book where men get what they deserve without the fairy tale romance ending that no one asked for, read something like Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter.

I don’t like stories with SA themes. The twists were slightly predictable. Enjoyed the ending.

I’m honestly surprised this book doesn’t get more hype! Scarlett said, “and I’d do it again!!!”

3.5 i’m being generous. Why am I reading such mediocre books these days. I appreciated the curveball she threw with Jasper Prior but again I could’ve guessed the ending and ion like that.. I love the happy ending w samina tho so there’s that
