I'm dying over this series. I can't even write reviews because I have to get to the next book. I think this was the best of them all. Maybe. Probably. OMG I love this series.

This was so intense I loved every second of it. This book gave me a lot of anxiety but I still loved it. Favorite in the series so far, but I say that every time. Can't wait to get to book 4.

⭐ 2.5 - spoilers ahead!

the seven of spades murder is just getting dragged out, and i know we're not gonna find out who it is in the next book, either, and it will follow the same boring plot of levi and dominic working on two different that suddenly have something to do with each other and they work together and seven of spades is forgotten every now and then and then we get to the last chapter and boom seven of spades is back. UGH. nothing pushes the actual case everyone is here for forward until the very last moment. and when we get to the next book, there's a time skip and again the pattern is repeated. it feels like nothing happens in these books until the last chapter.

i also hate the way the author keeps describing people and recalling past events the same way, as if it's all just copy-pasted from the previous book, as if the reader isn't capable of remembering that levi has nightmares after they've been told about it 10 times.

dominic and levi's relationship was annoying, too. not that they spent any time together, either, and when they did, it was only to have angry sex or beat each other up in lieu of "resolving the tension". like, you two need better coping mechanisms and a therapist to go work on your anger management issues before you enter any relationships, clearly, and i'm glad levi is finally doing that. also, dominic is just an asshole and crossed a few too many lines for me to just want him and levi to get back together. you're gonna say it's because of his addiction blah blah blah. but when we get to his pov, we can see, read, tell that he's well aware of what he's saying to levi and what he's thinking when he takes jabs at him, and then levi is being stupid and sucks his dick and that's really it. i hope he dies idgaf

SOMEBODY SAVE LEVI. I appreciate that this series doesn’t shy away from how awful addiction can be and how it can hurt others, but damn, Dom is breaking my heart.

Where did everything go wrong?

This book started out like a warm summer day and then ended like an unexpected thunder storm that you’ve found yourself caught in with no jacket!!

I’m in pain!

Fuck you book.

Review to come.

The best one yet. The seven of spades is back with a vengeance, and the incorporation of the gang war made this book way tenser than the first two, and I could barely put it down. We also got our first real relationship drama and boy it was rough. I will be starting the next one immediately because how can I sit on that cliffhanger?

Reread: DOM WHY. So much pain. Popcorn is out.

So much pain in this one, I must know who Seven of Spades is.

I really don't like Levi. He's so absolutely self-centered and he makes everything about him. As much as I don't want to agree with Rohan, I also find myself asking Dominic like God what does he ever see in him???? I'm confused.
