Wow, wow, wow!!! An outstanding beginning to a duet that is a complete home run! Kristy wrote a narrative that is impressive, engaging and yet always surprising! I was completely hooked after the first chapter! She opened up this book with a bang with the first interaction between Easton and Scout! I knew right then that this book was going to steal my heart! This is one book you won’t be able to put down as you discover this satisfying storyline page after page! A sports romance with twists, turns, spicy romance, real life issues, drama and family.

Keep in mind, this is a duet so this one ends on a cliffhanger. You’re going to want to jump right into “The Catch!”

Audible version: Andi Arndi and Joe Arden knocked this narration out of the park!!! They brought such an incredible narrative to life and performed this book so well that I was completely immersed in the story! The animation of their different voice inflections during the narration had me feel like I was watching this whole book play out in my mind as I read! An EASY 5 star performance!

“There will come a day, when someone will love the parts of you that know one else knows how to love, that’s how you know they’re the one for you.”

Just when I thought this duet couldn’t get any better, Kristy took the 2nd book up a notch!! What’s better than a home-run because that’s exactly how I’d describe this book! The narrative threw me for so many curve balls but each one made the story more and more enticing and enjoyable. My love for Scout and Easton grew even more than I thought possible as they continued their journey as well! While you read this book, have a clear mind going in and I promise you’ll have a full heart by the end! PHENOMENAL!

Pretty good just not the best thing I’ve ever read

K. Bromberg writes damn good books. I was a little late to the game but I thoroughly enjoyed The Driven Series along with everything else she’s written. I just recently read Sweet Rivalry, Holy Hotness! That book was amazing! Needless to say, I really enjoy a good K. Bromberg book. But, I was a little worried about The Player. I hate to say it with my Cleveland Indians going to the World Series and all last year but I’m not a baseball fan. At all. I would rather watch paint dry than go to a baseball game.

Ms. Bromberg has changed my mind. Completely. This book was written so beautifully I’ve actually started to watch baseball, much to the joy of my husband and son!

I fell in love instantly with this book.

Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. His father is a legend and expects great things from Easton, which he has accomplished up until now. A dirty play injures Easton’s arm and he is on the disabled list for the time being. However, this cocky player is determined to get back to the field sooner than later and will be working hard to make that dream a reality.

Scout Dalton is about to turn his life upside down.

Scout is a PT who is following in her father’s footsteps. She knows all too well how players “play” and she refuses to succumb to their advances. And there are plenty of them tossed her way…the guys just can’t seem to stay away from the hot woman PT.

Scout is in for the experience of a lifetime trying to hold her own against Easton and he will do whatever he needs to get back into the game he loves. However, they both have so many issues their relationship may sink before it even truly starts.

“I’m putting myself out on a limb for a woman who wants to run, when for the life of me, I’ve never been one to stay. But I’m not going anywhere.”

The chemistry between Scout and Easton is incredible. The push and pull from both of them, WOW. She can give it back to him as good as he gives it. The build of their relationship, from Scout being his PT, to their friendship, to an actual relationship is written so flawlessly, I was mesmerized with every single word. It was a nice change of pace to see the heroine who wants to run while the hero patiently waits for the woman he loves.

“But, I want tomorrows with someone. I want yesterdays, tomorrows, and next years with someone because I’ve never gotten that chance before.”

The Player is an excellent read. I cannot recommend it enough. I enjoyed every single aspect of this book…. along with the cliffhanger ending (and what a cliffhanger it is)!! I cannot wait to see how Easton and Scout’s story comes to an end in The Catch!

I will start off this review by saying this, I truly appreciate my children. When this book hit my kindle, I told them I loved them but do not disturb me unless someone is bleeding. Three hours later, a box of kleenex and a bottle of wine later, Easton and Scout’s story said THE END...and I couldn’t be happier about how it ended. Absolutely excellent!!

The Player ended with me having to pick my jaw up off the floor. I’m happy to say that The Catch picks up right where The Player left off. I’m so much happier now that Easton and Scout are back in my life!!

I’m not going to say too much in this review...I really can’t or I’d ruin it for you. This is one of those books you just want to dive right back into because we were left with such a cliffhanger in The Player. I will say this, The Catch was an incredible ending to this duet. This story was filled with love, sexiness, fun, and such an array of emotions, I could not get enough. The love between Easton and Scout was a love like no other. It was truly captivating. There were so many things going on and no matter what, Easton and Scout have found home in each other. As my “almost 16” year old daughter would say, Easton and Scout are relationship goals!

I had so many unanswered questions when I finished The Player and K. Bromberg answered every single one of them, perfectly. I was shocked by some of the secrets and was not prepared for that much emotion in one book.

By the end of The Catch, you too will have a clear mind, full heart. Kudos, K. Bromberg for another excellent story!!

Nothing better then some baseball and romance.

I don't even know where to start with Easton and Scout. There is just so much to say about them. They are both struggling with some much in their lives and learn to work together. I couldn't put this book down! There is a cliffhanger ending and thankfully, I could start right into the next book. I just had to know what happened next with my two favorite characters.

If you enjoy romance, if you enjoy baseball and if you enjoy any other book by K. Bromberg then you need to read The Player and check out Easton and Scout for yourself.

I'm not usually into sports let alone baseball; however, this is one of those reads that had me on the edge of my seat. The want to always follow the rules and to do what is right but the secrets...oh the secrets had me worried, afraid knowing what is on the line and all. My mind was spinning along with my feelings and then we are left with that cliffy....WHY?!?

The conclusion to Easton & Scott's story was filled with much more than I had anticipated. It was one that I had a hard time putting down especially with each passing challenges and surprises that were thrown their way that were not to take lightly. Regardless of the struggles they faced they had a way with each other where you could not help but fall deeper into their world. ~ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars

Tired of Cliffhangers

This book started out really good with two strong characters. I liked both, Easton and Scout. They both are independent and have strong personalities. Scout did become a little annoying to me. Just when you are getting really invested in the drama...BAMM...a frigging cliffhanger. Why can't the story be one book? The fact that it ended leaving you hanging aggravated me. Please let the next book be the end of their story.

Loved this book and the characters. So bummed I have to wait until June for the conclusion.
