I loved everything about this. A poetry collection I know I’ll go back and read over and over again.

Hmmm mixed feelings about this one. Some of the poems were too intense/graphic for me, but I understand her desire was to be authentic about her life and history. Definitely a few gems hidden throughout, but approach with caution if you are sensitive.

Deep, painful situations put beautifully into words that seem to make whoever is reading feel like they aren’t alone. I was absolutely amazed!

I'm not really a poetry person so my standards might not be the most authoritative ones, but I can argue that Halsey has some gems in this collection.
I've mostly enjoyed this book because you can tell that she has experience with rhyme and rhythm, and some of it reminded me of her music. Other than that, this book might benefit from some additional editing and polishing.

The poems I've marked while reading include: Eight, Guts, Fun Girl, 16 Missed Calls, L Train, Parasite, Bright Eyes and I Left the Party.

Some interesting poems are there. But mostly pretty depressing. Maybe it’s a good thing that her words made me feel something.

love love love

Love her and this book. She truly has a way with words whether is lyrics or poetry. Probably gonna read this multiple times.

Great narration by the author; she's a talented poet as well, but her works are a bit dark.
