Almost every poem lead to an emotional rollercoaster. I love the book does not justify my fascination with it.

This collection of poems reads like a Halsey concert. Some of the poems can even be read to the tune of her songs. Her poetry is moving and confusing, but also intense and highly personal. I enjoyed reading this collection and had a hard time putting it down!

A lot of very emotional poems but also a lot of tragic and traumatic. A broad mix between them all.

Unique terms to quote sexual stuff and what not. I loved the cover page but not the content.

It's about somebody who's trapped in his/her own soul and find peace with external touch.

Really not my type but I was bold enough to finish this and move on.

since this is considered an auto-biography i don’t give star ratings. i’m a huge Halsey fan, so digging into her mind was tough. topics that need to get brought up (rape, sexual assault, abortions, etc.) were mentioned.

The first half of this book I enjoyed, however as it moved towards the end it felt like most of the poems were fillers. A lot of the comparisons had been used in earlier poems, and it resembled that of a high school English class or an edgy Tumblr blog rather than a poetry anthology. Some poems were beautiful, like Seventeen and Inventory, but it’s true what they say about poems when it’s advised less is more. Most of the poems could be halved and the book would benefit a lot more from the brevity.
