I'm honestly a bit lost on where to rate this because I fucking love Malachi with all my heart. But Olivia was a bit insufferable.
I went into this book with 0 expectations. It reads like a published Wattpad story because it is a published Wattpad story, but I think because I had no expectations of a grandiose literature that was going to change my life, it was nice to turn my brain off and dive into this world for a bit. Is it the best book ever written? No. But does it need to be for me to like it? Also no.
It's akin to watching a reality TV show. You watch it for the drama and the fun time so you can switch your brain off from the world for a while.
I connected with Malachi so hard it mostly drowned out the writing that perhaps should have had more editing, haha. I'm still going to read the second book because I will devour any drop of Malachi I can get.
Even if he has pet spiders and that alone makes me actually want to to die. It's fine. I'm fine.
