These are two of my favorite movies—I prefer the first to the second. It was interesting to note the differences between the dialogue in the screenplays and what the characters ended up saying onscreen. Some of the lines/conversations in the screenplays were just a little too pretentious and rambling, so I was glad they didn't make it into the final product. That said, the pretentious, rambling dialogue is what makes these movies so great. Every time I watch Before Sunrise in particular, I feel myself falling in love alongside each of the characters.

One of the best modern love stories of our time - Linklater perfectly captures the fleeting magnificence of forming that special connection which is not marred by reality; that can exist in its own realm and remain a hopeful; untouched “what-if”.

Jesse and Celina are lovable characters, and the European city in which they find themselves becomes a character in and of itself.

Was great to read these films in screenplay format and soak in the dialogue.

Jesse and Celine’s serendipitous romance is THE love story of my generation. This book is a nostalgic journey for anyone who, like me, holds these films near to their heart.
