I rarely find a book that hooks me right from the start, but this little gem had my heart from the first sentence to the last. Grimalkin the cat is such a loveable little guy and I don’t think this book would’ve hit home as much as it did if he wasn’t the way he was. Eilidh and Grimalkins relationship was moving and it was so easy to care for Eilidh as time passed.
It’s an emotional story that’s spread across time in a beautiful place. The descriptions are vivid and really bring home what would stand out to this cat.
Cannot recommend it more. Beautiful book.
