Just really wasn't feeling this book - for such a short audiobook (5 hours, normally would have taken me a day to finish) - this wasn't keeping my attention and after trying to get into this book for a week straight. I'm giving up.
The premise of this book sounded great! Looking through like 120 years of history through the eyes of a ghost cat - observing what he observed sounds great... but there just wasn't any through line with the stories. The stories weren't cozy or emotional or really captivating. And the MC while cute because he was cat, just wasn't all that interesting.
Want to say though, this book did make me cry in the first chapter. So, it got a tad bit emotional for a page or 2. And maybe if I stuck through to the end, the ending would have made me cry again.
If you like historical fiction and are wanting something that has more historical roots but told through the lens of a cat, this would be for you.
