I don't really like self help books, but I think it motivated me a bit at least. It definitely isn't aimed at my age group though..

This book is a struggle. Repetitive, presumptuous, lacking citations, feels all about the author's personal experience rather than giving actual mechanisms, or studies that show the effects of positive thinking.
Also an unnecessary amount of useless EMPHASIS in random PLACES.

For me, this book was somewhat of a textbook on life. I took so many notes and underlined so many of her featured quotes and exercises! This book taught me a lot about changing my perspective and embracing the lessons on life that will inevitably contribute to my nurturing and growth.

This book has such transformative truths & tools in it. Often it was like a kick to the pants, but in the most loving way possible, because it was in a way that encouraged I could change what was wrong. I took pages of notes & am implementing what I learned, already seeing less anxiety & more confidence. Highly recommend.
Depending on your religious affiliation, sometimes there will be truths where the author does not mention God by name, but it's easy to find him in the concepts and see that they are still completely sound.
Minor note: the last two chapters are pretty out there and I definitely only skimmed them, because they were the author's personal theories instead of the powerful truths & tools that permeate the rest of the book.

This was really good for the first 1/3 to 1/2 but then it became very bumbling and full of filler. I wish she had just left the book short and sweet. I almost didn’t finish but I pushed through only to be disappointed.
