Ok, so I could hardly stand the first three quarters of this book...but once Kylie stopped being so incredibly irritating, it got better.

I loved this when I read the series the first time, and I still loved it just as much. I can’t wait to reread the rest of the series and to start the spin off series.

Ok, I'm going to be honest. Right off the bat, I thought this book would suck.
It wasn't my fault, totally. In the begining, the writing style was amature at best, and the main character talked about her chest way too often. And there were a lot of mildly innapropriate references/antics. I thought it was garbage thrown out to appease the disturbed youth of america today. I almost closed the book and refused to keep reading.
But my sister read it first, shocker, and insisted the story was good. She has no grasp of good writing, but she can usually tell a decent story from a crummy one. So I kept reading.
And, as I read on, the writing style got better. It was obvious the author had tallent once she started to learn. The plot got signifigantly better abotu eighty pages in, as did the characters. Don't get me wrong, Kylie still talked about her chest way too much, but she reigned it in a little and proved to be a decent character.
(Minor spoiler)And I had to give the author props- At the begining, I thought Lucas was a major creep. I mean come on, everyone knows killing your neighbors pets is the first sign of being a serial killer. But she did such a good job at making his character subtly likeable that, even before he told her that he didn't kill the cat, I didn't care (and I'm an animal lover, so that's saying alot) He was just too adorable.

So, all considered, this book did a three sixty turn around for me. Since it got off to a crummy start, it only gets 4 stars, but I'm very much looking forward to the next book. Yay! I haven't read a truely spectacular first book in ages.

Okay so don’t get me wrong I loved this book, but it wasn’t really one that stuck with me or spoke out to me. A lot of the book was just basic high school back and forth drama and the two romances really didn’t go anywhere in these first two books, I probably won’t be reading the series but it is definitely enjoyable for young adult it just wasn’t really going anywhere for me though. I do love her roommate Miranda though.
