Synopsis:
"One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls—a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren’t just “troubled.” Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world."

Opinion:

I really don't know what to say about this book. The plot in overall is pretty similar to that of Hex Hall: female protagonist, party disaster, supernatural creatures (blah blah), special place for outcasts (in this case the thing was a camp) and the whole drama of who am I? What does my life mean?

The difference? Kylie is the most hateful and horrid protagonist a book could ever have. You thought Bella was annoying or obnoxious? Man, that's nothing compared to Kylie. I wish she could have stopped with the whole "omg these freaks" and "didn't they tell goths that blue was the new black" (I swear this went on for at least half of the book). She did have a bit of character development at the end, but god I hate her. Well, not hate her, but I want her to die. Does that count at hating? I don't know.

You'd think this book has a love triangle, but no.

THERE IS A FREAKING LOVE SQAURE/RECTANGLE!!!! I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THAT HAPPENED.

I won't say anything more about it, except that it was boring and obnoxious. Both Derek and Lucas were annoying, didn't even feel anything good about them. They were pretty meh. (Thank the gods Hex Hall didn't have a love triangle).

Ah but then what I did like, was the whole general idea of a supernatural camp. I wasn't really happy with like their characteristics overall, like vampires walking in the sun because of sunblock or not being immortal in general? Or supernatural creatures being afraid of ghosts? Like what?? (Okay, this wasn't what I was going to, but whatever). I liked some characters, though. I think Holiday, Miranda and Della saved this book from having a horrific rating.

As I was trying to say before, the plot in overall was okay and the only thing I liked were the plot twists! They were amazing. I didn't see them coming and they definitely were one of the best things of the story.

I don't know what to do next. To read or not to read, it had a pretty "cliffhangy" ending, but I don't know if I am ready for more Kylie hating~vibe or love triangles. I guess we'll see.

Tohle se mi libi!!!!!

I probably would have liked this more if I read it earlier on. It just paled in comparison to a lot of better books I've read about supernaturals. TOO MUCH CRINGING and seriously, that love triangle annoyed me to death. I'm glad I didn't buy the rest of the series without having read this one yet.

Well, this was entertaining. We have a girl who doesn't know what she is and two guys just trying to get her attention. While this may seem like a stereotypical and bad book, it was really good. Many things needed to improve but I still really enjoyed this novel. The writing was pretty mediocre but I still liked this book.

Was a fun guilty pleasure but nothing really happened during the whole book, other than teen drama. I might continue the series only becaus of the characters.

I really didn't like Kylie, she was annoying. But I do want for see what happens now that it's going to be a boarding school. I'll read the second one if I don't like it then I'm done.
