I don’t get it. I was expecting something profound about life and love. But instead I got shallow, unlikeable characters who I never grew to care about. And far too much talk about poo!

Like Stalin’s son (as mentioned in Part 6… yes the book is split into 7 parts!) I wanted - for the entire duration of this book - to throw myself at an electric fence.

This is why I dislike books written by men.

Half philosophy, half fiction, none of it made up. I will need to read this again when I am older, and perhaps again after that. There is so much in this book to think about. While it could have been shorter and perhaps less self-reflexive, I enjoyed it all the way through.

No terminé este libro porque, bueno, se me hizo insoportable y como leí más del 50%, lo voy a contar como leído.
