A whole 5 stars for this story that managed to creep and steal my heart. The ending felt a bit abrupt but I'll still give 5 stars for both endings – both in the main story and the extras. It astounds me how this story manages to be tense, hilariously heartbreaking, and heartwarming at the same time.

I have really really enjoyed this series. The character's are great, the schemes are so intricate and thought out and there's a good balance of emotional, tense and dark scenes with more lighthearted, sweet and funny moments. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt the ending of the main book was a bit rushed. It felt slightly anticlimactic because of this.
Overall, though I enjoyed this series and the extras at the end were very cute!! I wish Gu Yun would be more open with Chang Geng haha even at the end he'd prefer to eat vinegar than tell Chang Geng the depth of his feelings! Silly man.
