Unfortunately not for me - probably because it's the early works and hasn't quite the same delightful humor as the books he later wrote.
Fun little book of stories. I especially liked the introduction because it gives context to the stories. These stories were never meant to be spectacular, they were just meant to be entertaining little things and that’s what they are.
I think I like Pratchett's short stories better since he can still be silly and English but gets to the heart of the humor a lot faster!
You're still very much missed Sir Pratchett!

A lovely little collection featuring Terry's early short stories, in which his wit really shines through. A surprising amount of the stories are set in and around Christmas, so I'd recommend reading this later in the year than I did on reflection. Also I really recommend checking out the audiobook if you're able to, the wide range of narrators means the stories each stand out individually and avoid blending in to one another.

Nice with glimpses of magic but generally stories are just too short and fleeting.
I was delighted to learn that a collection of Sir Pterry's short stories had been unearthed and compiled. These stories are varied and whimsical, and the narrators are all delightful. This audio book has earned a spot in my Things to Listen to When Everything Feels Like an Embuggerance file.

It turns out Terry Pratchett had hidden more short stories under previously unknown pseudonyms, and they were found by accident. This collection is a result of that work.
This is for the Pratchett fan or scholar - someone who knows his writing and canon intimately and can really appreciate the stories. I’m not quite a die-hard Pratchett fan (still working my way through the Discworld, for example) but I still enjoyed these, though again, I think I’d have gotten more out of it with stronger base knowledge. That said, this is a nice collection and possibly a good intro to how his writing has evolved.
