I will easily admit: I was somewhat reluctant to start reading this one. After all: there must have been good reasons for Sir Terry to have his hard drive steamrolled after his death, so his stories remained as they were.

The stories in this collections show us a young Terry...a writer who's trying things out and is finding his voice. And the spark is there: while it certainly is no Discworld series, the observant reader will see the similarities, the first signs, the tone, the jokes, ...

I enjoyed them. These stories are a delightful afternoon of reading. They feel like stories by Sir Terry and in the end, that's all we can ask and hope for.

Here's to you, Sir Terry, you are still gravely missed!

Absolutely delightful. I loved how quirky and cozy all the stories were. A good mix of fantasy tropes. The stories weren’t overly long although some were more interesting than others.

Highly recommend audio for this one. The audiobook was amazing. Every narrator was fantastic.

As a note the ebook has an extra story at the end and information about the finding of this short story collection that is not in the audiobook.
