Two young men are thrown together and tasked with a mission that must be completed in order to save their lives. The action takes place in Saint Petersburg and the Russian countryside as the Germans are closing in. The story was gripping and kept my attention. A very quick and riveting read.

Easy writing, very straight male storyline. Very movie-like and predictable, and typical coming of age plot. The background and historical context made it better. Not typically my type of book though given again, the very male centric POVs
