Hoo boy it sure was 1984 when this first was published. Anime tropes and pervy jokes galore. The plot is interesting and I can see how it rose to some fame.

This is a nostalgic read for me. The last time I read this I was 9 years old. I read this series through the public library in Chicoutimi, Québec. I have fond memories of going to this library with my dad.

Did not age well. Some of the characters are gross and a huge focus of the story is the sexualization of a teenage girl.
Half a star for the rest of the plot minus all that

Surprised in how engaging the first volume was. Came into it expecting a slow burner like most big named manga is but the pace and loveable scenes and characters kept it super engaging. Toriyamas art is also a joy to read through
