I laughed out loud so many times listening to this it is almost embarrassing. The situations are pretty far fetched (I tried to picture my boss behaving the way Scottie’s boss did and I couldn’t make it happen), but since I’m all about reading for fun, it’s pleasant when authors have a little fun! Wilder is hysterical. The improv scenes with him and Scottie are golden. I enjoyed this very much. Narration was stellar !

I absolutely enjoyed this book! I love the characters of Scottie and Wilder. I loved that they had a heavy back story. The growth in their relationship was perfect. Chapter 11 was hilarious 😂! A very well written book!

At first I really enjoyed this book and I found it really funny and easy-going! But then for me there was just a bit too much repetition.
I really liked the boss Ellison and her husband Sanders such a funny couple and they really brought the comedy to the storyline!! Mika was so sweet as an older brother and best friend and so was Denise but we didn’t see that much of them.
I can appreciate what the book was trying to achieve and if it was less heavy on the aspects of the divorce and they merged a bit more with the main storyline I think I could have really enjoyed this book.
Scottie and Wilder had such a good connection and it was so so funny to start with you could see the slow burn romance comedy really taking shape. For me though Scottie kept mentioning Matt.. and I was just too many instances where he was mentioned and mentioned and mentioned for me it was just one too many. But I liked the chemistry and the improve had me laughing so so much!
I would’ve preferred if she’d laid it out and then commented once or twice about him but the whole book was almost based around her previous marriage and what she didn’t like about it and even at the end Wilder kept asking her about Matt and what he did or didn’t do and what she was looking for. I understand it was supposed to be romantic and him showing that he’s different than that but for me it was just a constant comparison.
I didn’t like the Brads and Chad but by the end I didn’t mind them too much the camp overall was a bit strange but that’s what made it so funny!
I really love the cover of this book. It was so pretty and it definitely made me want to pick it up. I like the details that are subtle on the characters on the front and I like the mix of pastel pink and like a minty greeny blue.
I think this book might be for someone who enjoys a more detailed approach to certain sides of relationships undoing them summarising looking at them comparing them for me. It just didn’t hit the mark but I know others loved it.
