A light funny read that kept me turning pages. The family in the book, The Gilbreths, are a family unlike most. With 12 children there are bound to have crazy accidents and that is what makes the book so great. My favorite time is as the style changes and you see how the children and the parents clash over new styles. An over all great read for someone looking for an easier quick read that will make them laugh.

I’m debating between 4 or 5 stars, so I’ll just say 4.5. Is the dad in this book super arrogant and irresponsible or hilarious and brilliant? I still don’t know, but he was definitely an entertaining character. The fact that this book takes place in the 1920s makes it all the more interesting. So much has changed!! I found myself completely captivated and laughing out loud at so many of the stories. I really enjoyed this. Now I feel tempted to teach my kids Morse code, quiz them with math problems at the table, and make them listen to French while taking baths. Ha!

Super fun family centric comedy. I loved all the characters and how they interacted with each other. The story as a whole was really entertaining.

A warm-hearted, hilarious telling of a family that kept me smiling and laughing throughout. It reminded me so much of the stories I’d heard of my parents and grandparents experiences. I really adored this book.
