Difficult read, but a very good one. Lots of points of discussion to be had after reading this. I enjoyed the different perspectives. Very well written.

This was a quick read that really picked at my brain for a lot of different reasons. First off, I hate the guy. But did he deserve any of it? And was it really just innocent in the first place? I think it was controversial at times and spot on for others. I am the first to say “I hate men” but, to what end?

The idea of the story was interesting and thought provoking and sad as much of it could be true events but the story was superficial and could have been much better. Gave an extra 0.5 as the ending was quite good.

I found the writing lazy with lots of repeated phrasing. Part Two didn't tell us anything that wasn't already evident from Part One and Part Three was almost entirely in the format of emails, texts, podcast transcripts and tabloid articles. The characters were hugely underdeveloped and I struggled to care about any of them. I also predicted the end. The 1.75 stars were purely for the overall message of the book which, although important, wasn't anywhere near nuanced enough. Referencing the tragic case of Sarah Everard so obviously was a little distasteful too. If this wasn't a book club pick I'd have DNF'd.
