This is almost gone girl but with the use of twitter and Reddit. Although very slow to start, the abrupt change in pov was worth it. In the life of a women surrounded by violence, we allow the “nice guy” get away with murder bc the bar is in hell. At the same time, what does consent really mean (from the feminist and red pill perspective). Very uniquely done.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5
I will just say I was expecting a different outcome and a different story from the title of this book.
We are following Cole as he relocated to a remote cottage on the southern coast of England after the break down of his marriage. He’s starts making a connection with Lennie who lives in the coast guard cottage but after he moves there two young women go missing and Cole becomes a suspect.
I really loved the remote coastline setting of this book and it was really atmospheric and eerie at times.
This is also written in mixed media especially the second half which made it really compelling and fast to read.
The plot twist in the middle took me really off guard

Catch me taking this book to my mom to show her an amalgam of all of the men I have ever dated. Cole is literally that.
I really, really enjoyed this!! I didn't give it 5 stars because I thought the end was a little corny, but this is still sitting at a solid 4.75 ⭐️ for me! There were some conversations between the female characters that made me tear up and there was a gross satisfaction in the way that Cole is treated by culture at the end of the book because it is so accurate to the way that these men are treated my society all the time.
A quick read and the audiobook is a *performance*. Loved!
