I don't even have words?

It was so good.

One of my favorite parts was that Violet's journey wasn't rushed. I've read so many books where the girl trains a few months and suddenly turns into the most powerful person in the world.

Violet's journey took time and a lot of strength. I love how the author took her time and let us see what makes Violet great (and different).

Obviously I loved it, but honestly I couldn't stand hearing the kiss and spicy scene noises in my ears, this is probably a personal preference but it affected my enjoyment of part 2 a lot. Of course, I love Xaden's voice actor, I really enjoyed the last chapter which was his pov, which was something I hated a lot in the normal audiobook as I really disliked Xaden's voice actor, so yay for that :) I actually didn't
cry this time for Liam
but I did when I reread the normal audiobook, but I think it might just be because I listened to both very close to each other, so it's probably my fault. I really liked the battle scene noises and it helped me visualise the scenes way better with the wings flapping the wind.

If Paolini's Eragon series and Roth's Divergent series merged and had a baby, I think it would be very close to this. I enjoyed the action, the dragons, and the set up for the political intrigue. I hope the sequel meets the high bar this one set.
