"One generation to change the text. One generation chooses to teach that text. The next grows, and the lie becomes history."
honestly, this is one of my favorite fantasy books i've read in a while. not only is it an enemies to lovers (my fav), but the world building is fantastic. plus, there's dragons and dragon books are always cool. however, not very gang of rebecca to kill my fav character even if it was in an honorable way yes i'm still upset and crying in the club. my friends and coworkers are prob tired of hearing me talk about it). IT SHOULDVE BEEN YOU *looks over at dain*
also the spice level was just right for this book in my opinion. i'm also very, very thankful that violet did not just automatically forgive xaden for what he did at the end. we love it that violet has boundaries and sticks to them, i cannot wait to start iron flame even if it makes me cry too

GOD DAMN. I was on the edge of if I wanted to believe the book community when it came to book and how good everyone has been saying it is. I’ve been mislead before! Haha but MY GOD. YES. 10000%. This book has made me feel things I haven’t felt for a book is so long. This book reminded me of Divergent and the Hunger Games in all the good most amazing ways. It has my heart racing the entire time I read and made me cry well more like bawl my eyes out which doesn’t happen easily with me and books. I’m still in shock of how good this book is. The slow burning enemies to lovers has me floored and then throw in the forced proximity, my goodness, it’s done perfectly!!The character development was a masterpiece. Violet has amazing character and I absolutely cannot take to see where the next book takes it. And Xaden GOD. I love him. He is the stunning grumpy character that I love to have. From the Dragons to the magic to the constant bantering I was in absolute heaven. These two have my whole fuckin heart. There is just so many beautiful characters I got attached.. Liam WHY!! Why would she do this to us! Although, I’d like to say we’d all agree fuck Dain. I didn’t like him from the very beginning. So controlling and not in the good way. As for the ending I still don’t even know how to comprehend this cliffhanger. I’m still in utter shock. I will be going insane until I can get my hands on the second book in November Iron Flame. Hands down one of the best books I’ve ever read and the best book I’ve read this year.

It totally lost the plot that made me want to read the book about 70% through and became a really annoying romance that was beyond shallow and cringey.
