I was so hesitant to read this since usually books that are hyped this much are a big letdown for me (Spanish Love Deception, anyone?). So, I was pretty critical going into this bit I loved every single bit of it.
I loved the juxtaposition of Tairn being seen as the dark evil dragon while essentially being the comedic relief of the book (which was very needed!).
Also, I HATED Dain from the very beginning - he gave off Tamlin vibes and was a big no-no for me.
The one thing were I was kinda losing steam was the fight scene at the end. That might have been because it was 3 a.m. or because I just don‘t do well with fight scenes generally. I cried when the death happened though. Why would she do that to us? I‘d rather have someone else be dead…
I can‘t wait for the second book, because that cliffhanger at the end is just not fair.
