Deceased.

I am obsessed with this book!

Fourth Wing is the first book in the Empyrean series, a highly addictive fantasy romance. It follows Violet Sorrengail, whose fearsome mother is the emperor of Navarre army.

I'm putting it out there... Our FMC, Violet Sorrengail is the best protagonist I have read this year. Trained to join the Scribes quadrant, Violet *or Violence ;)* is thrust instead into an elite war college for dragon riders where it is kill or be killed. Our underdog heroine gives us a story of perseverance and strength.

"I will not die today".

I absolutely loved Violet's character development, her developing faith in herself and her belief that not all strength is physical.

I also really enjoyed Violet's different relationships with her sister Mira, her friends, her amazing dragons and of course our favourite, Xaden *heart eyes*. The secondary characters were great additions to the book and so well written. Rebecca Yarros has built an easily consumable but fully immersive world in this book and I was along for the ride.

Dragons, a strong female lead, romance, enemies to lovers AND plot twists - I promise you will adore this.

Iron Flame hurry up pls

This book felt like if hunger games/divergent was fantasy. I liked the plot but it felt like there was a lot going on and a lot to keep up with at once and you never know what parts/characters are important and what isn’t.

Dain’s betrayal was a good twist because of all the subtle mentions of his touch and it justified finding him so obnoxious the entire time.

On the other hand, Xaden

The hype surrounding this book is 100% earned!! I’m obsessed!! I can’t even remember the last time I was so invested in a novel. The world building is immaculate and my attention was captured from the first page. I can’t wait for November! 5/5
