I really enjoyed the story, but why are the characters that are supposed to be seventeen years old acting like they’re thirteen.

Overall a really strong second installment! It's full of tension and the character writing really steals the show!
If I do have to point out a flaw, though, it'd have to be that our main villain comes across as kind of shortsighted with how he handles the darajas. He's our main big baddie, so you'll want him to come across as fully competent and always three steps ahead of the main gang. And that's just not really the impression I got from him throughout most of this book.

I think that I enjoyed the first book more than this installment. I listened to the audiobook, and I wasn't really vibing with the narrators so that could have been a deciding factor for me.
