As much as I diminish self-help books, I still enjoyed this book quite a bit. It was an easy and fast read. More importantly, the books actually speaks to me more often than not.

The book listed 12 habits that have the potential to sabotage women leaders from continuing moving forward in their careers. While I am no way near a female leader since I just entered the professional world in about three year where one of them was an internship. Nevertheless, this book made me realize that I have these habits that might affect how I climb the career ladder myself.

While it is not a book worth ruminating and reviewing over and over, there are many places that I highlighted and decided to follow what the authors suggested and started changing my own mentality and behaviour.

Would prob give this 3.5 if there were half stars. Read this for book club at work before anyone makes fun of me

DID NOT FINISH: 55%

The only reason I tried to read this was for a book club. I really didn't like this book. It is completely disingenuous to write a self help book for women in the workplace and completely disregard sexism and patriarchy. Both of these things have a huge impact on how women have to move through the workplace and how they can become successful. To pretend those aren't issue and to just completely ignore it makes the entire premise of this book worthless. On top of that none of the advice given in this book was new or unique. You can find this kind of advice anywhere. Save your time and read something better.
