I found this more useful/interesting than I anticipated. Mainly it made me extremely grateful that my chosen career is female dominated...

Excellent book of advice for women who need to relearn or get rid of some habits in the workplace. Not all bad habits, but won't necessarily help you advance.

I really appreciated some of the key messages in the book that appealed to me -

What you did to get here may not help you get further ahead
The structure at work is setup such that you're required to take action to make an impact but for you to create a behavioral change its required to stop taking an action. This was a big eye opener for me. It's a 180 degree turn mentally to make that happen.
Allies are important and make use of them
Leverage connections. I liked the idea of having a personal elevator pitch ready.

Some things that I didn't quite agree with -

Most of the behavior that was talked about applies to both men and women. The depiction that a particular set of behavior applies only mostly to woman was very misplaced. I could think of a lot of men and women who displayed the behavior explained in the book.

Really enjoyed this book. Felt like there was very good advice for very real habits that women exhibit in the workplace/life.

Steaming hot garbage. The ethos of “you’ll never be able to change the workplace so change yourself” is so shortsighted and fills me with rage.
