Almost a 3.5, simply because I don't think they should have split this book up. It makes it seem like nothing really happens within these 560ish pages.

This is the best book in the series so far! I LOVED this book. Sooo many things happened 😱 one of those things needs to be rectified in A Storm Of Swords pt. 2 or I will not be happy. What a frickin' book 👌 this is one of the easiest 5* ratings I've given this year!
It was painfully slow. I mean, yeah, credits to George R.R. Martin for creating such a lustrous, rich, magical world, but do I really need to know every single detail of what the character is doing? Half of the book, nothing was really happening, you could have just easily skipped it without missing anything important if only someone could tell you the parts of when the pacing picks up. With such uneven pacing, I had so much dificulty picking this book up, and more often than not, it was easier to put this book down as, in general, an interesting chapter is quickly followed by a mild, boring chapter that put me off immediately.

This was a great 569 pages full of action and eveything you want, still I can't wait to continue on with the second part!.
My favorite characters in this book are :
- Jon : he's tactics and the way he's struggling to save his brothers is really beautiful, and
-Arya : her chapters are so easy and addictive to read, I really like her even though she sometimes annoys me because of some stuff.
