I rate all these books 4 Stars but this one is the best so far. Every chapter was so intriguing and I just felt that every chapter I learnt something new and exciting.

My favourite point of view chapters were from Jon and Sansa. I really enjoyed seeing Jon with the wilding - following on from where the last book left off. I also liked Sansa especially because of her marriage to Tyrion in this book. I felt so bad for her because she had some hope in her life and it all got ripped away and she was forced to marry somebody much older than her.

I also really like the fact that the book was split into two and I can’t wait to continuing on reading because Martin has such a way with words and creating characters.

My very first read of 2020. I'm trying to complete the series and it's becoming more and more interesting as the story unfolds. The characters are becoming more and more complex. Some of the battles in the book that Martin describes is gory and will make you squeamish, but it makes the whole thing all the more real. Daenerys POV was the most interesting for me. It is really good to read her getting stronger and stronger and I can't wait to read more of her.

I had initially rated this 3.5 *, but after finishing part 2, I'm lowering this rating to a solid 3 *, cause there is no way part 1 is anywhere close to being as good as part 2

I enjoyed this first part of the 3rd book so much more than the 2nd, simply because the pace was a lot faster, and the font size was much bigger. 10x less headaches!
