This book had me hooked from the start! I couldn't put it down! There are some trigger warnings, and it's a very tense story, but overall, it had everything I'm looking for in an edge-of-your-seat thriller.

Took a little bit for me to get into it and once I did, I really enjoyed it. My main issue with is was Brent’s character. He was possessive and violent and overall not a great guy.

This was my first book by this author, and I will definitely be reading more! I experienced such a range of intense emotions from holding my breath, laughing, crying, yelling…it was an incredible read. This one will stay with me for a long time. HIGHLY recommend. (TW: rape, miscarriage, abuse)

A darker story than I generally choose to read but was prompted to read this as part of a book club. I did find the story engaging and never felt that I would stop reading it. I am horrified to learn it's based on a true story. I appreciate this book for expanding my reading horizons, but I'm not sure if it is a genre I will seek out often. Great story, but not my preferred cup of tea, if you will.
