I loved this! It was beautifully written and a really compelling story. I liked how it followed the twins throughout their lives and how they connected again through their kids. I thought it really handled tough topics well like racism, colorism, segregation, white-passing, trans rights, etc. and I actually loved Reeseā€™s story and his relationship with Jude.

No fault to the writer - I just need to come back to this when I have more attention to give it. Listened as I was doing chores, and I tuned it out and had no idea what was happening.

It took some time for me really get into the story, it starts slow. It really flows after the first 100 pages.

Really enjoyable. If you liked, I highly recommend Pachinko by Min Jin Lee.

An excellent book you will want to sit with for a while. I didn't know anything about it going in and probably wouldn't have picked it up if I had- a story about runaway twins?

The book is a story about love, loss, sacrifice, self discovery, lies, and family. It's more sentimental than I usually go for, but I highly recommend. It isn't a mystery or a drama. It isn't cheesy.

I had no idea what it was about going into it. I liked the change of POVs throughout the book. I found some of the characters frustrating. I was surprised at the queer element for sure. I would definitely recommend this to others.
