This was a fun and easy listen. It went by really fast and I really enjoyed the school/teacher part of the story at the middle school and then enjoyed the Mars simulation as well.  I thought the relationship between teachers and even with the administrators was relatable for anyone who has worked in a school environment.  Although the big bad principal was a little over the top, it overall was an entertaining read.  Highly recommend this one on audio.

I thought the Mars simulation was interesting but the romance fell flat for me. A little bland. Plus I couldn’t stop imagining Abbott Elementary.

There’s a part in the epilogue that made me smile as a book girly.
But, otherwise…RIP my hopes for a sexy lil space romp.

I had a lot of fun reading this book. This is a vice principal/teacher romance, a bit of forbidden romance, and includes a simulation of a mission to Mars. I’ve never read a book with this concept before, and I loved it. Also loved the nod to romance readers in some of the dialogue. As a future educator, I loved both main characters. I really enjoyed Brianna’s character, I loved how dedicated she was to truly helping students and to helping out the library at the school. Roman was an interesting character, Etta Easton did a good job of making the reader unsure about his motives at first, but I appreciated how she wrote his character and I ended up loving him by the end. The side characters were really fun, and it made for an interesting dynamic during the simulation.
