Every blessing ignored becomes a curse

They were conversing in Arabic, and the boy was proud of himself for being able to do so. There had been a time when he thought that his sheep could teach him everything he needed to know about the world. But they could’ve never taught him Arabic…All [the sheep] ever do, really, is look for food and water. And maybe it wasn’t that they were teaching me, but that I was learning from them.

Courage is the quality most essential to understanding the language of the world

Plot-wise, it's not that spectacular of a book. However, I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this book.

Despite it being very short, I loved the main character's resolve. This positive, inspiring book is exactly what I need in such dark times.

Fantastic book! Just listened to the audiobook read by Jeremy Irons. So many lessons...essentially the journey is the destination and follow your personal journey.
