I enjoyed the plot and the character but I found myself getting lost for time to time. That may be my fault, I may have not been fully immersed in the writing.

It wasn’t bad but it really wasn’t good either, kind of like putting an episode of Friends on in the background. It’s just there. Ended up skimming a lot at the end of the story

Katrina's fiancee is absolutely cartoonishly evil and greedy. Aside from that, it was a typical friends-to-enemies-to-lovers rom-com book. Gosh, Nathan and Katrina just needed to communicate my gosh. Was really stuck on whether this was a 3 or 4-star book for me...so I'm going with 3.5/5.

it was good!! i loved the writing style - it was probably the closest to emily henry's style that i've read so far - and the level of character development and depth of the main characters. the conflicts the characters faced, both externally and internally, felt entirely plausible, and i loved the seamless switch between the two timelines. i also appreciated that the book primarily focused on the present-day timeline. i didn't think i'd be rooting quite so hard for a couple that had one mc in a relationship with someone else for 75% of the book, but i really loved them together and didn't feel like the timing was too rushed! just a warning though, it's not your typical romance book - in fact, i would probably describe it more along the lines of contemporary or women's fiction.

I received this book in my Once Upon a Book Club subscription (highly recommend this subscription. So exciting opening gifts while reading!) and it just wasn't to my liking.
