It's probably weird to say that the major breakup was my favorite part of this book, but the line "sometimes relationships don't die, they just don't grow" is the best description of a relationship running its course I've ever heard. I understand the lower ratings bc it's an entire book of emotional cheating, but I didn't mind it and I fully hate the cheating trope. I am excited to read more from this duo!

First and foremost, I just couldn’t root for characters who were
emotionally cheating on their significant others.
I would have enjoyed the premise of this story much more if the forces keeping them apart were anything other than that.

I did enjoy that it was a book by two authors writing about two authors writing a book together. I’m now curious as to what their process was, hopefully without the aforementioned issues. 🥲
